This is a new leader material which made a sensational debut at the Broome Flyfishing Tournament. 1996 event individual winner Kim Anderson took four sailfish on the same Bionic leader built from alloy.
Alloy provides four times the abrasion resistance of ordinary monofilaments and is non-metallic making it ideal for use in fly leaders when targeting Tarpon, Bonefish and Billfish.
It knots well and has a large diameter to strength ratio that spreads the load when in contact with abrasive surfaces such as the bill of a marlin or the shoulder of a shark.
Alloy has been engineered to provide a constant and accurate tensile strength and is available in I.G.F.A. flyfishing classes from 1kg to 10kg.
As a leader material for applications, such as fly fishing for tarpon or billfish, Alloy is vastly superior to non-I.G.F.A. products like Manson, Ande and Maxima.
Several world records have already been set on this material, which is a true indication of it's quality, as it has only been available for a very short period of time.
