The Hypertension Apex is a large cup faced chugger. The Apex’s significant head wobble leaves a smoke trail nearly a foot wide. Best run on the short corner and ideal in smooth to moderate conditions.
The Apex is best run with a low line entry angle. We recommended running this lure from a bent-butt rod or you can redirect the line to a lower point on the transom using a quick release flat line clip.
HOOKSHIFT
Hypertension’s Hookshift is designed to optimise hook exposure through its innovative rigid hookset shaping. This unique design maintains flexibility for optimum lure action, however curls into a rigid state upon fish strike—maximising hook-up potential. If the lure is released, the hookset automatically returns to its flexible state, allowing the lure to keep swimming, ready for the next bite.
The Hookshift technology will only deploy when tension is put anywhere on the lure and resets once the tension is released.
The Hookshift technology, jets and line protection will only work when used simultaneously. You cannot use the Hookshift technology on a normal head or skirted lure.
LINE ARMOUR
Eliminating the need for heat shrink, the Hypertension Control Sleeve acts as both a hook positioner in conjunction with the Hyper-inserts and provides crucial line protection against abrasion near the fish’s mouth during prolonged fights. High durability means you can often catch many fish with a single Control Sleeve.
JET CONTROL
Hypertension have integrated the Hyper-Inserts to allow for precise ON/OFF control of the lure jets, providing anglers with a choice of settings based on their preferences for running position, water conditions, and desired lure action. Simply rotate the insert to your preferred setting.
CARING FOR YOUR HYPERTENSION LURES
To ensure a long life in the technology used in all Hypertension Lures, it is essential that you wash thoroughly your lure after each session. To do this simple remove the Hyper-Insert from the lure head, remove the top magnet and then wash both part in fresh water and allow to dry.
