OMG!! Brian Crampton makes Bullets too? Yes, and as you can expect, like all lures that leave Brian’s workbench, these lures are the pinnacle of lure craftsmanship.
The bullet design is possibly the most widely trolled head design in the world. Many long conversations were had between Bart Miller and myself about the importance of a bullet style lure being in a pattern.
BTS requested some specific head colour designs from Brian. We are very proud to make these unique lures available to our customers worldwide.
HEAD DESIGNS AVAILABLE
Blue Sniper: This head design features a front pour of brilliant blue matched with holographic rainbow finished with the holographic red. This head colour scheme matches some of the most productive skirt colour schemes in the Tiamat range such as Itty Billy, Mermaid, Blue Saury, Chambermaid and Hawaiian Elvis.
Black Sniper: With a front pour of deep black matched with holographic, this is a favourite of true Tuna specialists. This head colour scheme matches some amazing skirt colour schemes in the Tiamat range such as Black Metal, Blackened, Black Dog or even Everyday Loomo.
Pink Sniper: Pink. Pink. Pink. Every pattern needs a pink lure. No need to expand on that. The Tiamat range has a vast array of pink such as the Hot Pink Loomo, Siren, Snagglepuss, Nocturne Pink and Bonnie Scott.
All Bullet Series lures feature crimp locks to ensure you can troll your lure to its optimum level.
What position should I troll the Crampton Baits Bullet? The shotgun? The shotgun position assumes you already have 4-5 lures in your pattern all working well. The shotgun position is for boats that have got bored with the day and are hoping for a strike. Troll this lure off any position except the short corner. The long corner and the long rigger is a good choice. If targeting Yellowfin Tuna and Southern Bluefin Tuna, troll two lures another boat length or more back in the position than the standard corner positions but stagger them so prevent cross overs. Also, toothpick the heads to prevent bite-offs from other fish during the fight if the fish are particularly plentily.
