Octane Series

The Santos Octane series encompasses the classic Hawaiian Tube shape! A tube lure defines the art of simplicity; born of Hawaii, tried and true the world over for more than 50 years. The Octane series tube baits possess an aggressive swimming motion with plenty of rooster tail, pop and smoking action. Although these classic rigger lures are very effective for all offshore gamefish, they are especially potent when targeting Striped Marlin, Black Marlin and Blue Marlin.

While the Octane series doesn’t perform as well as the highly successful Tiamat Dear Henry series in rougher conditions, there is still a place for these high performers in your lure pattern.

All lures in the Santos Octane series are keel weighted, plus they feature leader anti-chafe tube and a crimp lock device. This allows you to position the hook at the desired angle.

Santos offshore big game trolling lures are hand cast from premium urethane which does not require sanding after demolding, and therefore ensures that every lure is identical to the precision engineered prototype.  Unlike most trolling lures which are made of polyester resins, urethane lures are optically clear, ultra hard, UV stable, and can be produced with perfect design proportions. Additionally, each lure is heat and pressure cured for the ultimate in durability.

Santos Lures only use the finest AAA grade abalone shell veneers, soft PVC anti-chafe leader tubes, and custom made Santos Holographic eyes for our lures.

Each lure tailstock is precision CAD designed to perfectly fit the amazing Tiamat Skirts which feature UV-NexGen technology.

Each Santos trolling lure features the proprietary LibraTech(TM) LCM (Low Center of Mass) insert technology that ensures that the lure stays upright and is able to achieve significantly higher trolling speeds. With an upright lure, hookset position and orientation within the skirts are further maintained by our Santos RigLock(TM) system which is a standard feature of all of our big game lures.

OCTANE JUNIOR – A fantastic choice for the light tackle angler who targets Mahi Mahi, Tuna and smaller Billfish. But don’t be fooled by its size as it’s been responsible for captures in the XXL size too.
