We recommend initially positioning the Vortex on the Long Corner or Long Rigger, where its impressive bubble trail and powerful surface cycle can be displayed to full effect.
However, don’t overlook the Short Corner, where the Vortex can be equally productive. Remarkably, it can also perform exceptionally well in the Shotgun position, a placement not always associated with straight-faced concave pushers.
Naturally, sea conditions and individual boat configurations will influence its swimming characteristics, so experiment with lure placement and drop-back distance to achieve optimum performance.
