Like all TIAMAT Lures, the Vanguard is handcrafted using WC792 polyurethane, an advanced material selected for its exceptional durability and remarkable optical clarity.
Available in four distinctive head designs, three feature beautifully luminous shell inserts, while the fourth showcases the spectacular BIFROST insert, renowned for its extraordinary light-reflective properties.

The Vanguard offers three distinctive skirting options, allowing you to tailor your lure to your preferred fishing conditions and trolling pattern.

The Vanguard is designed to perform across a broad range of sea conditions and can be trolled at speeds of up to 20 knots, depending on lure positioning, line length and prevailing conditions.
Unlike concave pushers and slant-faced lures, the Vanguard’s streamlined bullet design requires minimal adjustment to maintain its intended swimming action.
There is no need to alter your trolling speed specifically to accommodate the Vanguard.
The ideal trolling speed is simply the speed at which the other lures in your spread are performing at their optimum level.

Many anglers automatically associate bullet-style trolling lures with the shotgun position. While the Vanguard performs exceptionally well in this position, restricting it to the shotgun overlooks several highly effective alternatives.
Consider experimenting with the Long Corner or Long Rigger, or deploying the Vanguard beneath the surface using a planer or paravane.
Long Rigger – An Overlooked Opportunity
One particularly effective technique is to position the Vanguard on the long rigger so that it occasionally breaks the surface without blowing out.
Depending on sea and wind conditions, this subtle surface-breaking action can be an excellent way to entice a strike.
