Tsutomu Lures Kona Dragons are made in Hawaii and have proven to be consistently successful at catching gamefish worldwide.
Each Kona Dragon is individually poured, shaped, fine-tuned and then polished to create some of the finest trolling lures available. If you appreciate and value the art of lure making then the Kona Dragon is for you.
Due to the weight, the Kona Dragon runs deeper in the water than comparable lures. This makes it an easy target for subsurface feeding fish like Yellowfin Tuna, Southern Bluefin Tuna, Northern Bluefin Tuna, Wahoo and of course Marlin.
The large jets flowing through this lure adds more movement to the skirts and some extra sound as the water gurgles through the Kona Dragon’s nostrils!
Kona Dragons are constructed using a urethane resin which is a higher cost material but very hard to crack or chip. Real fish eyes along with kills dots on the belly add to the life like feel of this lure. The handcrafted painting on the Kona Dragon is superbly detailed and includes multi-layered paint schemes that shine and shift in their colours in the sun.
Each Kona Dragon is expertly skirted with Tiamat skirts which take these lures to another level. Shown below are some examples and are exclusive to Billfish Tackle Supply.
Holographic wings are available. We only use the USA made Witchcraft Tape Products (WTP) mylar. This option can be selected when purchasing.
