The JB Taipan is one of the most unusual trolling lures you’ll encounter—and that’s exactly what makes it so effective. It is a heavily weighted offset straight runner with an aggressive cut face.
“WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?!” – These heads are heavier that an equivalent sized head making it dive deeper than other lures. However, the true magic is the sharp angle on the face of the lure along with being offset – one side of the lure is longer than the other. The image below illustrates just how pronounced this offset is. This makes for a highly active lure action.
These lures are custom made for BTS and include an insert made from only first-class shell.
